The Cabinet Office published its guidance on PPN 026, the new Social Value Model, on 28 October. It fills in much of the detail that was missing when the model was announced in August, and it applies to central government procurements with a tender notice published from 1 January 2027.

PeoplePlus are holding a webinar they'd welcome you to attend on Wednesday 4th November, at 2pm to take you through what has changed and what it means in practice. Laura Savage and Emma Grigson from PeoplePlus will cover:

- How the model works now: two outcomes, six award criteria and 37 standard reporting metrics
- The eight target cohorts, which now include people on probation and prison leavers, victims of domestic abuse, veterans, and people with SEND or neurodiversity
- How bids will be scored, including the focus on the quality of the plan and the rules on additionality
- What the new published social value KPIs on £5m+ contracts mean for suppliers
- Where things stand on the List of Community Programmes, which is still to be published
- How it differs across England, Scotland and Wales
