The 5% Club Launches 2026 Employer Audit to Champion Skills, Inclusion and Workforce Development

The 5% Club is proud to announce the launch of its 2026 Employer Audit, inviting organisations across the UK to benchmark, validate and showcase their commitment to developing the workforce of the future.

Now entering its sixth year, the Employer Audit is a nationally recognised accreditation programme designed to recognise employers who invest in high-quality “earn and learn” opportunities, including apprenticeships, graduate schemes and sponsored student pathways.

Through participation, organisations gain independent accreditation at Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum level, based on the proportion of their workforce engaged in structured learning and development programmes.

With over 250 employers already participating across sectors such as construction, finance, technology and the public sector, the Audit continues to play a vital role in driving social mobility, strengthening talent pipelines and supporting inclusive economic growth.

Driving Impact Through Data and Recognition

The Employer Audit provides organisations with:

  • Independent accreditation recognising commitment to workforce development and skills investment
  • Comprehensive benchmarking insights, enabling comparison with industry peers and identification of best practice
  • Robust diversity and inclusion data, supporting more informed and impactful decision-making
  • Enhanced employer brand visibility, helping attract and retain top talent

Participants also receive a detailed benchmarking report and access to exclusive events, including The 5% Club Skills Summit and Celebration Awards.

Investing in the Future Workforce

The Audit forms part of The 5% Club’s broader mission to increase the number of people in “earn and learn” roles and to support employers in building sustainable, future-ready workforces. By taking part, organisations demonstrate leadership in skills development while contributing to long-term economic prosperity.
