Adam Knowles, a second year apprentice, working for Bagnalls, members of The 5% Club, was awarded the prestigious title of the Painting and Decorating Association’s (PDA) The Apprentice Paperhanger of the Year – Junior Section.
To win first prize, he competed alongside a number of other apprentices, where his skills in paper hanging were tested for speed, organization, cleanliness, measuring, joining spacing, alignment of patterned paper and overall quality finish.
Adam received his award at the annual PDA conference dinner, which was attended by Stephen Bagnall, Group Managing Director and David Sunderland, Group Technical & Training Manager.
