Introduction

The 5% Club is launching a range of Special Interest Groups (SIGs) to provide members with dedicated spaces for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and problem-solving on key workforce development sectors and groups. These forums will enable members to connect with peers who share similar interests and challenges, gain insights from industry experts/stakeholders, and contribute to best practices that drive meaningful change. By fostering focused discussions and practical solutions, the Special Interest Groups will enhance the value of membership, supporting organisations in their commitment to increasing workplace learning opportunities.
The first of our SIGs was launched in February 2025.
Armed Forces Special Interest Group
Established to support the career transitions and development of the Armed Forces community, which includes veterans, service leavers, reservists, spouses, and cadets. The SIG will provide a collaborative platform for member organizations to share best practices, develop resources, and create structured career pathways that facilitate the integration of Armed Forces members into the civilian workforce.
We were delighted to host our first in-person AFSIG meeting on 16 September, which saw excellent attendance and lively discussions. A full summary summary of the meeting is available here.
