The 5% Club Armed Forces SIG – Parliamentary Reception, House of Lords

  • The 5% Club Armed Forces Special Interest Group Parliamentary Reception
  • Wednesday 25 February 2026, 12.30-2.30pm
  • The Cholmondeley Room and Terrace, House of Lords, London, SW1A 0PW

Established to support the career transitions and development of the Armed Forces community—including veterans, service leavers, reservists, spouses, and cadets—the The 5% Club Armed Forces Special Interest Group (AFSIG) provides a collaborative platform for member organisations to share best practices, develop resources, and create structured career pathways that help integrate Armed Forces members into the civilian workforce.

The AFSIG September meeting (output here) agreed a focus on four strands of work, namely

  • Cadets
  • Early Service Leavers (ESLs)
  • Reservists
  • Families and Spouses

This first meeting made one thing clear: this is not about promises, but about proof. By February 2026, we invite members to stand before Parliament not with words, but with case studies, pilots, and lived examples of how business can unlock the potential of the armed forces community.
