Assessment rules are undergoing significant change, and The 5% Club and Enginuity are coming together to help members understand exactly what these reforms mean for them. This online joint event will give employers clear, practical insight into how the new approach to assessment will affect their organisations—what they need to prepare for, what the transition will involve, and how they can position themselves to benefit from the changes.
Our keynote address will be delivered by Carmel Grant, Deputy Director for Reform and Innovation, who will outline the intent behind the reforms and provide an update on where Skills England are in the process. This is a valuable opportunity for members to hear directly from those leading the reform programme.
Following the keynote, a panel of experts from a range of sectors will explore the implications for employers—covering what the reforms mean in practice, the responsibilities employers will need to take on, and the potential opportunities and challenges ahead. Our panel includes:
- Ginny Bradwell, Education Director, First Intuition – representing the professional services sector
- Fiona Aldridge, CEO, Skills Federation – representing 18 sector bodies and the employer voices they bring together.
- A representative from a large employer and another from an SME, offering real-world perspectives on implementation across different business contexts.
The session will be online and will include:
- 25 minutes of keynote insight from Skills England
- 5-minute position statements from each panellist
- A Q&A opportunity, with questions taken in advance to ensure the most pressing member concerns are addressed
Full registration details will follow shortly. This is an essential event for any employer involved in apprenticeships and skills development.
