Clarkson Evans named as regional and national finalists in inaugural AAC Awards

Electrical contractor Clarkson Evans has been announced as a regional and national finalist at the first ever AAC Awards.

The company was shortlisted in the Apprentice Employer of the Year category at the awards, being organised by FE Week and the Association of Employment and Learning Providers as part of the Annual Apprenticeship Conference.

Managing Director Nathan Evans and Chief Operating Officer Lindsey Young have now been invited to attend a special parliamentary reception hosted by the Chair of the Education Select Committee Robert Halfon MP during National Apprenticeship Week.

The AAC Awards include regional and national accolades, with regional winners having the opportunity to compete for the national crown in their categories.

The regional awards include recognition for providers in the categories of engineering and manufacturing, business and administrative, social care, childcare and education, construction, sales, marketing and procurement and digital.

Other regional categories include apprenticeships promotion campaign of the year, apprenticeship provider of the year and apprentice employer of the year.

Each regional winner will be invited to attend the awards dinner for the national awards, which will be held on March 22.

Nathan Evans, Managing Director at Clarkson Evans said: “We are delighted that Clarkson Evans has been shortlisted as a regional and national finalist at the inaugural AAC awards. Meeting other finalists at the House of Commons will be a fantastic opportunity to share best practice on apprenticeships.”

In total, Clarkson Evans employs more than 150 apprentices and operates across much of southern England, the Midlands and south Wales.

“We want to be the company of choice for anyone considering a career in the electrical industry and being shortlisted as finalist in the AAC Awards will help to reinforce our reputation as a first-class employer,” added Mr Evans.

Unlike many other apprentice employers, Clarkson Evans recruits all year round and currently has electrical apprenticeship vacancies in Oxford, Telford and Worthing. To apply visit www.clarksonevans.co.uk
