On Tuesday 23 July BBC Breakfast News featured member of The 5% Club, Balfour Beatty, talking about how important it is to develop and support apprentices.
Apprentice Pipe Fitter Anthony Moffitt was filmed on an outward bound exercise describing how he has developed and broadened his skills through being given the opportunity to do The Balfour Beatty Brathay Challenge and The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.
Jo Volk, Director Of Talent & Development at Balfour Beatty, explained why investing in apprentices and helping them excel in the workplace is so important.
Jo also talked about how important The 5% Club network is for exchanging best practice and employers of all sizes helping each other to support apprentices.
