WhiteHat & The 5% Club present: myth busting breakfast

Date And Time: Thursday, 2 May 2019, 08:30am – 10:30am

Location: WeWork, 119 Marylebone Road, London, NW1 5PU

Apprenticeships are a hot topic this year. The Department of Education launched its groundbreaking ‘Fire It Up’ campaign in January, April marks the 24 months since the levy was introduced, and the time funds will begin to expire, and employers are increasingly embracing apprenticeships and the benefits they can bring to their workplace.

But there’s still a lot to be done. Whilst the apprenticeship landscape is evolving, and simultaneously people’s perceptions of apprenticeships are shifting, many employers are still uncertain of how and why they should consider apprenticeships.

WhiteHat and The 5% Club have teamed up to challenge some of the most common myths surrounding apprenticeships

Join us on Thursday 2nd May as we debunk some of the most common myths surrounding apprenticeships and offer practical advice on how to make the apprenticeship system work for your business.

Key topics will include:

  • The Apprenticeship Levy and the impact of Brexit
  • The UK’s growing skills gap and how to introduce more diversity into your workforce
  • Using apprenticeships to reskill employees and provide development opportunities to reduce churn
  • Universities v. apprenticeships: an outstanding alternative
  • What to look for in an apprenticeship provider
  • How to go about developing a first-class apprenticeship programme

The morning promises a delicious breakfast, great networking opportunity and an informative panel discussion. We look forward to seeing you there!
